3. Brahmadeva Thera. The son of a brahmin woman. Having joined the Order, he dwelt in solitude und became an arahant. One day he went to Sāvatthi for alms, und, in due course, arrived at his Mutter's house. She was in the habit of making an oblation to Brahmā, but, on that day, Sahampatī appeared before her und told her to bestow her gifts on her son. S.i.140f.
