A deva who visited the Buddha at Veluvana accompanied by Asama, Sahali, Ninka, Vetambarī and Mānava-Gāmiya.
Ākotaka spoke before the Buddha in praise of various teachers of other schools:
Pakuddha-Kātiyāna (sic.),
Vetambari made rejoinder to Ākotaka, speaking disparagingly of the teachers he had mentioned. S.i.65.
