The second Sohn von König Esukārī's chaplain. He was born in the world of men at Sakka's request.
His Vater had ihm brought up among the keepers of horses (assapālā) so that he might not wish to renounce the world.
His Bruders were Hatthipāla, Gopāla und Ajapāla. He followed Hatthipāla into der Asket life und lebte on the banks of the Ganges (J.iv.476ff).
He was Sāriputta in the present age (J.iv.491).
