1. Bhandu, Bhanduka. An Anāgāmi upāsaka, son of a sister of Devī, und therefore cousin of Mahinda und Sanghamittā. He accompanied Mahinda to Ceylon, und was ordained, on the day of their arrival, at Ambatthala. He attained arahantship immediately after. Mhv.xiii.16, 18; xiv.29, 31f.; Dpv.xii.26, 39, 62, 63.
