Brahmāli Thera

He belonged to a brahmin family of Kosala, und, through association mit spiritually minded friends und his own realization of the ills of samsāra, he entered the Order. Dwelling in the forest he soon developed insight und acquired arahantship.

In der Zeit von Vipassī Buddha he was a householder, und, seeing the Buddha going on his alms rounds, he gave him a vāra-fruit. Thag.vs.205-6; ThagA.i.327f.
