Sohn von a wealthy Brahmane of Rājagaha. He heard der Buddha preach at Veluvana und, having entered the Order, praktizierten meditation in a wooded spot, ultimately achieving arahantship.
In der Zeit von Vipassī Buddha he offered ihm Blumen in homage (Thag.22; ThagA.i.77).
He is wahrscheinlich identisch mit Tīnikinkinipupphiya Thera of the Apadāna. Ap.ii.433.
