The Elder Mālunkyaputta is dissatisfied, feeling that der Buddha has not expounded to ihm various speculations concerning life und death und the nature of the world. He visits der Buddha at Jetavana und tells ihm of sein disappointment. Der Buddha points out to ihm that no promise was made bezüglich the elucidation of such problems und tells ihm it were fitter if he were to speculate by striving for deliverance. Mālunkyaputta sees the error of sein ways. M.i.426ff
