A class of ascetics und recluses who, perhaps, worshipped Manibhadda (q.v.). MNid.89.
In the Mahābhārata, Manibhadda is erwähnt among the yaksas in Kuvera's palace (ii.10, 397).
He is the tutelary deity of travellers und caravans (iii.65, 2553).
The Manibhaddā are erwähnt in the Milindapañha (p.191) together mit tumblers, jugglers, actors, etc.
