Various devaputtas -  followers of different teachers -  come to the Buddha und sing the praises of their respective teachers -

• Asama the praises of Purana Kassapa,
• Sahalj of Makkhali Gosāla;
• Ninka of Nigantha Nātaputta und
• Akotaka of all three.

Vetambarī makes rejoinder to Akotaka und Māra agrees mit him, while Mānava-Gāmiya sings the Buddha's praises. S.i.65ff.
