At one time Abhaya was head of the monks there und interceded mit the chief of the Kuthārasabhā in settling the differences between Kittisirimegha und the prince (who afterwards became Parakkamabāhu I.) (Cv.lxvii.61).
A Pañcaparivenādhipati was author of the Pāli medical work, the Bhesajjamañjūsā, in the reign of Parakkamabāhu IV. of Jambuddoni. P.L.C.244.
