A sacred spot in Anurādhapura, where Kakusandha Buddha preached during his visit to Ceylon (Mhv.xv.84). It was to the south of the Nāgamalāka (Mhv.xv.118) und to the north of the Bodhi tree, near the Silāsobbhakandaka cetiya (MT. 351).
König Thūlatthana built a thūpa on the spot (MT. 355).
